The US Marine Corps’ last EA-6B Prowler squadron VMAQ-2 ‘Death Jesters’ has completed its deployment to Central Command, and is now preparing to sundown the type in March.

VMAQ-2 has spent seven months deployed to Al Udeid, Qatar, in support of both Operation ‘Inherent Resolve’ over Iraq and Syria and Operation ‘Freedom’s Sentinel’ over Afghanistan. VMAQ-2 is scheduled to end flying operations in March as the final Prowlers are retired to the boneyward at Davis-Monthan AFB, Arizona.

Combat Aircraft will be bringing full coverage of the Prowler’s final months of flying.
