USAF announces B-21 bases

The US Air Force has formally announced basing plans for the new Northrop Grumman B-21 Raider strategic bomber. Dyess AFB, Texas; Ellsworth AFB, South Dakota and Whiteman AFB, Missouri are the bases,and the USAF will start swapping out B-1s and B-2s as the new bombers arrive.

Air Force Secretary Dr Heather Wilson said: ‘We expect the first B-21 Raider aircraft to be delivered in the mid-2020s.’ Barksdale AFB and Minot AFB will continue to fly the B-52H.
