Photo: USAF

The F-22 Raptor Combined Test Force held a ceremony on October 19 at Edwards AFB to commemorate the first flight of the F-22A Raptor. The first flight of the first F-22 aircraft took place September 7, 1997 from Dobbins Air Reserve Base in Marietta, Georgia, with F-22 chief test pilot Paul Metz at the controls.

The 411th FLTS continues to undertake development test activities for the spiral development of the F-22.

The F-22 is celebrated in our special edition dedicated to the mighty Raptor.
