Four F-22 Raptors plus a single B-52H Stratofortress from the 5th Bomb Wing, helped mark the centenary celebrations for the formation of escadrille ‘La Fayette’ on April 20 during a flypast over Paris. The Raptors came from the detachment of the 95th FS, currently deployed to RAF Lakenheath, UK. The USAF aircraft joined three Mirage 2000Ns and a single Rafale C for the flyover of the memorial in Marnes-la-Coquette that commemorates the 269 US pilots who flew with the French Air Force under the ‘La Fayette’ Flying Corps in World War I.

Mirage 2000N squadron EC 2/4 ‘La Fayette’, is based at Istres, and has painted this Mirage 2000N (serial 353/125-AM) in stunning markings for the occasion and this aircraft will lead the ‘Ramex Delta’ two-ship display team this summer.
